When a short-circuit fault occurs in phase, the faulty phase needs to be removed artificially from system because of loss capability generate torque. In this case, both current and phase-loss would additional torque ripples. study, novel fault-tolerant control strategy is introduced achieve low ripple operation five-phase permanent magnet synchronous motors with trapezoidal back electromotive force (FTPMSM-TEMF) event fault. The key concept method compensate for ripples caused by adverse effect phase-loss. Based on expression under conditions, can offset injecting certain pulsating component into condition. This result smooth conditions. Moreover, track alternating currents, model deadbeat predictive extended restructured effectiveness feasibility proposed are verified experimental results.
